Spring selection, April 20
Each winter we search out new wines for the lodge wine list to please our many repeat guests and, vainly, so that the Wine Spectator in New York will continue to rate it "one of the most outstanding restaurant wine lists in the world." This year we've come up with an elegant Alvarinho and fruity red Jaen (known as Mencia across the border in Spain) from Portugal, a whole new portfolio of wines from the hills of Friuli in Italy and some easy-drinking whites and reds from Hungary. John will tutor the tasting and promises that, as always, the quality of the wines will make up for his often cavalier approach to Polish grammar. The event is without cost to weekend guests at Kania Lodge. For event - only guests with a reservation, the price is 200 PLN per person.
