That’s how Wine Spectator magazine describes our wine list in honouring us with its Award of Excellence for five years in a row. The New York-based Wine Spectator is the leading wine magazine in the United States.

Kania Lodge serves fine food stylishly but unpretentiously. Using fresh, locally purchased meat, fish and vegetables, including our own home reared lamb, we prepare interesting, innovative food inspired by world-wide travel and a good understanding of the best of Polish cuisine.

Non residents are welcome to dine with us but to ensure that we are able to serve the right quantities of fresh, interesting food on which our reputation is based, a prior reservation is always helpful.

The lodge has one of the largest and most interesting wine cellars in Poland. We list 250 wines from top vineyards around the world, almost all of which we have visited personally. Many wines are available by the glass and we offer friendly, professional help in choosing wines to go with specific dishes.

Wine tastings and seminars are organised on request and we arrange periodic winemakers dinners at which guests get the chance of meeting top winemakers from around the world.
